IDENTITY
Finca Astronómica is the heart of everything we do.
Created in 2021 and developed by us as astronomers, it is a purpose-built space designed for observation, education, and shared experiences — both during the day and under the night sky.
This is not just a venue you visit.
It is a living environment where astronomy happens every day.
We live here, we work here, and we continuously develop this space to make astronomy accessible, meaningful, and real.
WHY HERE
We didn’t choose this location to chase the darkest skies.
Instead, we focused on what actually makes astronomy possible on a regular basis:
-
stable and reliable weather
-
wide, open horizons
-
excellent observational angles
-
consistent visibility throughout the year
Combined with proximity to the city, this allows us to offer something rare:
Astronomy experiences that are both accessible and reliable

FINCA AS A SPACE
Finca Astronómica is designed as a complete experience environment.
Within the finca you will find:
-
Observation areas for visual astronomy
-
Dedicated astrophotography zone with robotic telescopes on fixed piers
-
Open-air cinema for presentations and guided sessions
-
Bonfire area for relaxed evenings and shared moments
-
Open-air dining & bar area
-
Gardens and animal zones integrated into the space
Every part of the finca serves a purpose — combining science, comfort, and atmosphere.
A Living Ecosystem

Finca Astronómica is not artificial — it is alive.
Here you will experience:
-
regional plants adapted to the local climate
-
animals living in spacious, carefully designed enclosures
-
freely roaming birds such as geese, chickens, and peacocks
-
natural rhythms of light, weather, and seasons
This is part of the experience — not a background detail.
Explore & Interact

The finca is designed to be explored.
Throughout the space, you will find interactive NFC / QR points connected to our digital guide, allowing you to learn about:
-
animals and their habitats
-
local plants and environment
-
sustainability practices
-
astronomy-related elements of the finca
This creates an additional layer of experience — available during both daytime visits and night programs.
Sustainability & Philosophy

Finca Astronómica operates fully off-grid and follows a clear philosophy:
-
minimal environmental impact
-
low waste and responsible resource use
-
integration with the local ecosystem
-
long-term sustainability over short-term convenience
This is not a concept — it is how we live.
We are part of the Agrosimbiosis Project, supporting regenerative and sustainable land use, and this approach will shape the future development of the finca.
LIFE BEHIND THE EXPERIENCE
When there are no visitors, the finca doesn’t “close”.
This is where we:
-
carry out astrophotography
-
follow astronomical events and comets
-
test and develop new experiences
-
prepare content to share with the public
Finca Astronómica is also a Spanish location of the Astronomy & Science Centre Foundation, reinforcing its role as a place of ongoing scientific and educational activity.

SAFETY & COMPANIONS
Two German Shepherds, Orion and Sirius, are part of the finca team.
They are trained as astronomy assistance dogs and accompany groups during activities — especially in low-light conditions — helping ensure safety and awareness.
They are friendly, focused, and take their role seriously.
EXTENDED OFFER
Go beyond the core experience and make your visit truly your own. Whether it’s staying overnight, sharing a meal, or creating a private event, these options allow you to explore Finca Astronómica in a deeper and more personal way.
Food & Culinary Experiences

Food is an important part of the experience.
We offer:
-
freshly prepared homemade dishes during regular events
-
curated culinary experiences
-
