Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. General Policy​

 

All bookings made with Astronomy Tours S. COOP are subject to the cancellation and refund conditions outlined below.

By completing a booking, the customer confirms that they:

• Have read and understood this policy

• Accept the applicable cancellation terms

​​

All refunds, where applicable, are issued excluding payment processing fees and service charges.

​​

2. Standard Experiences (Public & Private)​

 

For regular experiences (unless stated otherwise):

• More than 14 days before the experience
  → Full refund (100% minus fees)

• Between 14 days and 48 hours before the experience
  → Partial refund (50% minus fees)

• Less than 48 hours before the experience
  → No refund

• No-show (failure to attend)
  → Treated as late cancellation → No refund

3. Fixed-Date & Special Events​

 

Certain events are non-refundable, including:

• Solar eclipses

• Rare astronomical events

• One-time or limited-capacity experiences

​​

All bookings for these events are final and non-refundable

​​

This follows EU law (Directive 2011/83/EU, Article 103(l)) regarding leisure services on fixed dates.

4. Organizer Cancellation​

 

If an experience is cancelled or significantly modified by the organizer due to:

​​

• Weather conditions

• Safety concerns

• Technical issues

• Maritime or third-party restrictions

• Insufficient participants

• Force majeure (unforeseen events)

Customers will receive a voucher (credit) equal to the amount paid

​​

• Monetary refunds are not provided

• Voucher validity: 6 months

​​

5. Weather & Visibility Conditions​

 

Astronomy experiences depend on natural conditions.

​​

• Clear skies and visibility are not guaranteed

• Experiences may proceed in adapted format (educational session, storytelling, guided interpretation)

​​

These situations do not qualify for refunds or rescheduling

​​

6. Late Arrival & Participation​

​

• Late arrivals may not be accepted

• Experiences will not be delayed

 

No refund is provided for:

• Late arrival

• Missed participation

​​

7. Vouchers & Credits​

 

Vouchers issued:

​​

• Are valid for 6 months

• Are non-refundable

• Cannot be exchanged for cash

​​

Usage:

​​

• Must be used in a single booking

• Cannot be split

​​

Price difference:

​​

• Higher → customer pays difference

• Lower → no remaining balance refunded

​​

8. Exceptions​

 

Some experiences may have specific cancellation terms stated on their product page.

​

In such cases, those terms take precedence.

​​
