About the event
Biggest Meteor Shower of the Year!
Every August, the Earth passes through a trail of cosmic debris left by a comet — creating the Perseid meteor shower, one of the most intense and beautiful celestial events visible from Spain.
During peak nights, you can see dozens of meteors per hour, streaking across the sky in fast, bright flashes.
When to Watch
The Perseids are most active between 7 and 16 August, with the highest activity on the night of 12 August, when conditions are typically at their best.
The ideal observation time begins around Midnight, when the sky is darkest and the radiant rises higher.
How to Experience It
You can enjoy the Perseids on your own:
