Learn to use your telescope with expert guidance — from setup to real observations. Bring your telescope — and learn how to truly use it. This private workshop is designed for individuals who own a telescope and want to understand how to set it up, maintain it, and use it effectively for real observations. Working directly with your own equipment, our astronomer will guide you step by step through the essential aspects of telescope use — turning confusion into confidence. What We Cover Each session is adapted to your telescope type and experience level, and may include: • Correct setup and alignment of your telescope • Basic maintenance and care, including cleaning and handling • Safe transport and storage to protect your equipment • Understanding your telescope — how it works and what it can realistically show • Practical observation guidance, including how to find and observe objects in the sky This is not a theoretical lesson — it is a hands-on, practical session using your own telescope. Who It’s For This experience is designed primarily for one participant who wants to learn how to use their own telescope. You are welcome to bring accompanying friends or family members (e.g. partner or children), who can observe and follow the session. If more than one person would like to actively learn and participate, we recommend booking a Private Group Telescope Workshop, which is specifically designed for multiple participants. Format & Duration • Private session (1 hour) • Additional time can be added if needed • Conducted at Finca Astronómica or, when arranged, at your location A 1-hour session is typically an excellent starting point and sufficient for most beginners to understand the fundamentals of their equipment. However, the depth of learning depends on the complexity of the telescope and individual expectations. Additional time may be required to cover more advanced topics or to practice observation techniques. This workshop focuses on helping you get the most out of your own equipment, in a relaxed and supportive environment where you can ask questions, test things in practice, and leave with real confidence. While we aim to cover as much as possible during the session, the final learning outcomes depend on the time booked and the specific needs.
